हिंदी अनुवाद - मारवाड़ी से तात्पर्य उन व्यक्तियों से है जो स्वयं अथवा जिनके पूर्वज राजस्थान, हरियाणा, मालवा एवं उनके समीपवर्ती भू-भागों के मूल निवासी हों अथवा रहे हों, तथा जो उक्त क्षेत्र की संस्कृति, परंपरा तथा रीति रिवाज का पूर्ण अथवा आंशिक रूप से पालन करते हैं तथा स्वयं को मारवाड़ी मानते हैं। मारवाड़ी व्यक्ति की पत्नी, भले ही वो उपरोक्त सारी शर्तें पूरी नहीं करती हो, भी मारवाड़ी मानी जाएगी यदि वो स्वयं को मारवाड़ी मानती हो। गैर मारवाड़ी व्यक्ति से शादी करने वाली मारवाड़ी महिला को भी मारवाड़ी माना जाएगा यदि वो स्वयं को मारवाड़ी मानती हो|
English Translation - Marwari means those people who themselves or whose ancestors are or have been natives of Rajasthan, Haryana, Malwa and their adjacent areas, and who follow the culture, tradition and customs of the said area fully or partially and consider themselves as Marwari. The wife of a Marwari person, even if she does not fulfill all the above conditions, will also be considered as a Marwari if she considers herself as a Marwari. A Marwari woman who marries a non-Marwari person will also be considered as a Marwari if she considers herself as a Marwari.
