Ingredients of Marwari Kadhi: (*X4)

  • 1 cup thick sour curd

  • 1/2 teaspoon mustard seeds

  • 2 green chilli

  • 3 tablespoon refined oil

  • 1/2 teaspoon red chilli powder

  • 3 leaves curry leaves

  • 4 tablespoon gram flour (besan)

  • 1 pinch asafoetida

  • 1/8 teaspoon powdered turmeric

  • salt as required

  • 1/2 teaspoon coriander powder

  • 2 dry red chili

Steps to make Marwari Kadhi:

  • Step 1 Prepare besan mixture

    To prepare this delicious kadhi recipe, take a bowl to combine the gram flour (besan), yoghurt and water as required. Add salt and turmeric powder and mix well.

  • Step 2 Heat oil in a pan

    Heat oil in a skillet over medium flame. Add mustard seeds to the oil and let them splutter.

  • Step 3 Prepare the tadka

    Then, add the asafoetida, red chillies, green chillies and curry leaves and stir gently.

  • Step 4 Add curd-besan mixture

    Now, add the curd and gram flour mixture along with the red chilli powder and coriander powder. Let it cook until the kadhi achieves a slightly thick consistency. You can add more water if needed.

  • Step 5 Serve hot
